We are an established family run business, specialising in the service and repair of horticultural equipment. Due to growing demand we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic person to join us in our busy workshop environment.
Job Title – Driver, Machine preparation and general maintenance
Purpose of Role – Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for collection and delivery of machines coming into the workshop for repairs. This varies from small 2 stroke machines to larger ride on grass cutting machines. Cleaning and pressure washing off machines ready for the workshop. General workshop maintenance which may include such tasks as cleaning vans and workshop areas.
Essential skills, Qualifications and Experience
Ability to work as a team and also alone using own initiative.
Health and Safety awareness is paramount.
Be self motivated.
Full clean drivers licence, ability to tow trailers and drive a variety of ride on grass cutting machines (full instruction will be given). Forklift licence desirable but not essential.
Competent in handling large heavy machines (with the aid of lifting mechanisms).
Work hours
This is a zero hours role so does require some flexibility. Our operational hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm. This role typically requires 8-24 hours a week but this does fluctuate. We are very flexible within the working week.
